Granville Island is sending our Watch Party fans off with two days of all-day programming celebrating the bronze medal matches on July 18, and the World Cup final match, July 19. Gates open 3 hours before the match, no saving seats or tables, and will remain open after the game for up to 2 hours with entertainment, face painting, food trucks, a beer garden, and maybe even a little dancing in the aisles!
July 18

12 PM A pre-match celebration with special musical appearances from the Indian Summer Festival (on Granville Island from July 9-19). High-energy, family friendly sets from local DJs Nina, Lil India and roving circus acts by Soaring Stilt dance. Water refill stations. Misting station for kids and dogs, weather permitting. Festivities will be hosted by Zara Durrani.

Outside the Watch Party site: Granville Island’s free bike valet will be open July 18, 10 AM – 7 PM , July 19, 8:30 AM – 7 PM just outside the site; The Public Market is open 9 AM–7 PM. The Children’s Water Park slide opens at 10 AM. Across the Island visit over 300 artists, artisans, and retail shops; 11 restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and bars, and join us for the Island wide Indian Summer Festival with both free and ticketed events across multiple Granville Island venues.
This is a family-friendly zone. Everyone is welcome here. Please respect each other, the space, and other fans (even if opposing!)

We have seating for up to 1,000 guests.
Are the restaurants and pubs on Granville Island also showing the games?
Yes. If the Watch Party reaches capacity, the following restaurants and pubs that are showing the game may still have space available: Granville Island Brewing Company, Alimentaria Mexicana, Keg Restaurant, Vancouver Fish Company, Artisan Sake Maker, The Dockside at the Granville Island Hotel, and Tap & Barrel Bridges.
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving early, as visitors often line up before the gates open. The site can reach capacity quickly.
What happens if the Watch Party reaches capacity?
Once capacity is reached, guests may only enter when another guest leaves.
Can I leave to grab food or drinks?
Re-entry is not permitted. If you leave the Watch Party site, you must rejoin the lineup to get back in.
Can I bring in outside food and drink?
Yes, outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Is it first come, first served?
Yes, the Watch Party is first come, first served.
Can I bring my own chair?
Outside chairs are not permitted, seating is provided.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, the Granville Island Watch Party is dog-friendly! Please keep pets on-leash and well cared for.

The free Granville Island Bike Valet (May 16 – Oct 4) will be open extended hours on match days, welcoming bikes, e-bikes, strollers, scooters, and bike trailers in a secure, no lock required enclosure. Click here for the Bike Valet Schedule. Shared transportation options include multiple Mobi Bike and Lime Scooter stations and dedicated and complimentary car share parking. TransLink has announced increased service on the #50 Waterfront-False Creek, stopping at the mouth of Granville Island, and both False Creek Ferries and Aquabus have extended hours and sailings. The Aquabus is fully accessible to wheelchair, bicycle, and stroller traffic. Across the water, close to the False Creek Ferries Yaletown dock, the City of Vancouver and Yaletown BIA have added a tour bus zone for quick, car free access to both sides of False Creek.
